KROS (Kabir's Roll of Old Students) was formed with a mission to keep the St. Kabir Public School pass outs in touch throughout their life, help them socialize regularly and provide them a platform where they can explore many opportunities. The mission of its formation was quite strong and it really kept the KROS lively for many years. But unfortunately, for the last few years it has been facing many problems and has been fighting for its survival.

Though initially it was started with a proper team, including a President and a Vice-President, later it was decided to change its structure (as there few problems with the President system) and then few core members were given the responsibility to run KROS. No doubt, the initial core committee contributed their best to this alumni organization and kept the spirit of being a Kabirite alive. But in the last few years, KROS has not been able to attract new passouts from St. Kabir to come forward and take the initiative of running it. And there are numerous reasons for that, which (i think) don't need to be discussed at the moment. It would be better if we think about the future, forgetting the past.

So, coming back to the issue, we've got to bring order to the system for the benefit of this complete St. Kabir ecosystem. And for this, a huge change in KROS is required. Its not just a change in its structure or working areas, but a complete makeover. The required change is so huge that one or two out can't decide what it is going to be. Instead we need feedback from every KROS member regarding this issue, and then start with the reformation of a new LIVELY KROS.

Everyone interested, please join the discussion and suggest your solutions. if you have an opinion - share it. If you have knowledge - share. Experience - share.

We will try our best to take everyone's feedback into consideration and then put up an action plan regarding the proceedings. But now we need your input.

The feedback may consist of any issue related to KROS - functionality, working methods, activities, mission, structure, or any other concerned issue. The major requirement of feedback is regarding the structure of KROS. We need to know from you whether the current core memebr system is fine, or we need to go back with the President kind of structure, or rather have a new "different" structure which can help KROS to regain and fulfill its main mission of Uniting KROS members. Next major issue is regarding the activities undertaken by KROS. Sadly, in the last years, KROS has not been able to organize something big which can help in Socializing KROS members.

THOUGH THIS POST LOOKS QUITE INFORMAL, the Action Plan formed from your feedback would be definitely OFFICIAL. We're looking forward to hearing back from you. With the upcoming changes, the whole KROS story will heat up ten-folds, so if you're interested in keeping it live and rocking - WRITE NOW!

Slow down, Save a life.

Finally Sanjeev Nanda got five year in prison. What a waste of life
for a Wharton graduate. Most of us would probably think that he got
what he deserved for killing 6 innocent people under his car which he
was driving drunk. Well, that might be the case and while it is
important that he got punishment for what he did what is more
important is that how could the accident have been avoided and how can
we stop these kind of accident from happening in future.

Rash and/or drunk driving rarely seems to be monopoly of the elite on
Indian roads. I am sure if any of us look back at our own recent past
we will be able to see a either ourselves or a friend or family member
doing the same, driving rash or drunk.
Although nobody has intention to hurt anybody when this kind of
accident happen but surely we are not patient enough to think or
listen that our actions even if they well intended could end up badly
hurting somebody else and also leave a deep scar on many aspects of
our life.

I think this is good opportunity for us to take a pause and see what
we can do to avoid this from happening to us. Please drive carefully
and also encourage others to drive responsibly. Please never drive
whenever you are drunk and never body let any of your friends or
family members drive when they are drunk. Please don't drink if you
know there is nobody who can drive you back home and you'll be the one
who'll be driving. Driving rash and breaking traffic rules could be
dangerous even if you are in your full senses so please slow down and
save a life .....
